Not too bad right? The key to neon is to not go overboard. If you are wearing neon jeans or shorts don't wear a neon shirt. Make the neon the statement piece and wear something neutral with it. I actually really like the neon jeans with the neon yellow shoes, but that is for the utterly fearless! If you are unsure about neon then wear it in small doses or else you won't feel comfortable.
With the black evening dress I thought it would be fun to go with a neon color block pump. These have black in them too which in my opinion makes them a little more funky but also a little less casual. If you are wearing a solid black or solid white dress have fun with the accessories!
The white t-shirt dress from Anthropologie (or any totally white dress) is the perfect canvas for neon accessories. White is so bright itself that it works so well with the bright colors. Throwing on a neon belt and carrying a neon handbag is the perfect pairing with this dress. I didn't add shoes to this one, but you could totally wear neon shoes if you didn't have the neon bag. Remember the key: don't go overboard! I love the look of white and neon and it makes it a little less scary to have the accessories be bright and bold instead of your actual outfit. I included the picture of the neon bracelets as an example of the fun you can have. Start slow and ease your way in if you aren't sure about bright colors. Also, bright colors ARE NOT JUST FOR YOUNG PEOPLE! If you are over 30 and want to wear neon colors, then do so! Just follow the same rule so you don't look like an eccentric old lady.
So, say yes to neon.
